Freightliner Trucks has announced a partnership with Allison Transmission, Inc. to offer Allison Optimized packages for vocational markets.

Allison Optimized is a holistic approach to configuring a vehicle’s driveline that delivers optimal performance, durability, fuel efficiency and driveline protection for specific vocational trucks. Partnered with Freightliner Truck’s industry leading vocational chassis, customers can expect a truck that is spec’d for optimum performance and ready to tackle the day to day rigors of vocational applications.

Freightliner Trucks officially launched this new venture at the World of Concrete trade show, February 2-5, in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the show, the Allison Optimized Packages was featured on the all-new Freightliner Coronado® dump truck and Freightliner Business Class® M2 trucks.

Freightliner is an industry leader in durability, reliability and efficiency. The essence of the Freightline Run Smart branding is integrated into every aspect of the Freightliner product, including its components. The Allison Optimized partnership not only reinforces the Freightliner brand positioning of efficient business solutions but takes it to the next level.

Allison Optimized packages will be featured on Freightliner chassis for specific vocational applications beginning in the second quarter of 2010. Additional Allison Optimized Packages will be introduced throughout the year that target vocational and over the road segments.
